I'm working my way through Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs (SICP), and The Little Schemer books, so I'm learning Scheme and Lisp too. The Little Schemer is a cool little book. In this case, the main topic is recursion. I first noticed it in Ruby, even though it's been in JavaScript all along. I'm going through the Little Schemer but these are more difficult examples that I could really use some help on. €This series of posts is will communicate the big ideas of each Chapter of this book in Clojure as I work through it. To go with these books, I have started studying Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs populary called SICP. It isn't a traditional programming book for learning a language, but rather uses Scheme to teach programming constructs. Mea culpa, I stopped after the first chapter and I am now going through "The Little Schemer," after having learn Clojure. 1 prints before the '(2 3), which seems like the first call to flatten inside of append is evaluated first. Today I ordered little schemer, seasoned schemer and reasoned schemer, all in one batch.
